We always used to say "lick the bowl" in my house. Always one of the best parts are, to cook with her mother. I have a lot of dark chocolate and no one has ever fudge recipe that my mother always compared. I do not know if it's because my mother did or why it is agood fudge recipe. Maybe a little 'of both. Melting

2 tablespoons butter
2 / 3 cup evaporated milk
1 2 / 3 cups sugar
1 / 2 teaspoon salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 1 / 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
1 / 2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Combine butter, milk, sugar and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Cook 4 or 5 minutes, stirring constantly. (Time starts when the mixturebegins to bubble around the edges of the pan to take.) heat. Stir in marshmallows, chocolate, vanilla and nuts. Shake vigorously for 1 minute. Pour into a buttered 8-inch square pan. Cool in refrigerator. Cut into squares.
